Ives
The International Society of Viticulture and Oenology (IVES) is an academic association dedicated to viticulture and oenology. Founded in 2017 by a group of leading universities and research institutes, it aims to make the results of scientific research in this field available to researchers and professionals. It already has 16 academic members.
IVES is a non-profit organisation run by its academic members. These members believe that the results of scientific research should be freely available to researchers (public and private sector) and the public at large. To make this possible, IVES publishes its journals on free online publishing platforms independent of private publishers and is supported by
IVES publishes OENO One, an online open access magazine for vines and wine (launched in 2016) and IVES Technical Reviews – Vine and Wine, a tool for transferring current research to end users, published online in six languages (launched in 2020). Our next challenge is to create a new media: IVES Conference Series – Vine and Wine (in 2021).
Activities in collaboration with the Merano WineFestival
Talks
IVES, in collaboration with the Merano WineFestival, will organize 5 Webinars where you will be invited to meet the greatest experts in the field of wine and vine sciences. Every evening of the Festival at 5 p.m., a conference specially designed to transfer current research on vine and wine to the end users, i.e. consultants, oenologists, agronomists, experts, teachers, students, winemakers, will be freely accessible online on Youtube Live!
