Merano

The Municipality of Merano, in the territorial area, is an autonomous local authority, a district of state, regional and provincial decentralisation, in compliance with the principles established by the Constitution, the Special Statute for the Region of Trentino-Alto Adige, the general laws of the Republic, the regional and provincial laws that determine its own and delegated functions. The Municipality represents the local community, looks after and protects its interests and promotes its constant civil, cultural and economic development. It identifies in the fundamental values of municipal democracy the constant will to achieve the active contribution of citizens to the determination of the choices of community government and their consequent implementation.
